the book of fading memories
In this work I collected some of my childhood memories of war, violence, and censorship in a limited-edition artist's book. Each story was told from two parallel viewpoints. A poem portrayed my current perspective on the event, while an image illustrated my perspective as a child on the opposite page. Through this work, I aimed to explore the complexities of memory and perspective, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences and perceptions. This project was funded by the Canada Council for the Arts and Access Copyright Foundation.
